I knew there were a couple of bits and bobs in the boot but knew it wasn’t excessive, however I couldn’t exactly remember what was in there, so popped out for a picture, just for you my lovely readers … 
Erm, well, yeah … 
In the box is;
- Fan belt
- Head gasket
- Latex gloves
- J-cloths
- Castrol Valvemaster
- Anti-freeze
- WD-40
- Oil (nice stuff, just in a cheapy bottle
) - Blue bag with tow rope, jump leads, first aid kit, etc.
- Green bag with a Pac-A-Mac from one of our software suppliers
- Length of fuel hose
- The old points and condensor gubbins incase the Aldon Ignitor packs up
- Adjustment device
- Spark plugs
- Screwdriver & bit set
- Bag of spanners
- Hylomar Blue gasket sealant
- Cable ties
- 3/8″ socket set
- Extendable wheel brace
In the boot, there’s also a fuel can, a twin-barrel foot pump, a length of wood for smacking the starter motor, the defibrilator for the battery and a tartan rug. 
Like I said, nothing excessive 
Of course, I’ve just realised that there’s a socket set and spark plugs … but no spark plug socket 
Time for an emergency dash to the shops methinks

And a head gasket!!!!!!!
me: The head gasket was one I picked up before going over to France last year, on the basis that if the absolute worst happened and it went when we were over there, absolutely any garage would be able to get the head off and replace it but would be scuppered if they’d had to actually order a gasket in.
As it happened, it went two days after we got back
